From now until March 9, Pollokshaws Library will have reading events on Friday afternoons at 2.30pm as part of the nationwide Abolition of Slavery anniversary programme. The book being discussed will be Andrea Levy’s ‘Small Island’ the story of black immigrants to Britain.
In only its second year, Pollokshaws Carnival is becoming a key feature of Refugee Week in Glasgow. Organised by Pollokshaws Settlement and Integration Network, it was held earlier this summer at the Bengal Street pitch.
