Soup, a song and a swally
Thursday, October 4th, 2007. Filed under Govanhill.…will now be available in the Southside of the city and will raise money for the newly-opened charity shop for Govanhill Baths Community Trust (GBCT).
Every third Sunday, this musical event will be hosted at McNeill’s Bar in Torrisdale Street, Govanhill. It will provide a bowl of stew or soup, three live bands and a pint of beer.
Fatima Ugyun of the Trust told the LOCAL NEWS, ‘In the West End they have a pie, a play and a pint. So we decided to provide an alternative for Southsiders. We are also trying to support local Southside bands. This month’s show will feature Swing Guitars, the Celtic Connections winners, and Hot Tamales.’
