‘This is an exciting venture which is part of our children’s work,’ said Carl Johnston, one of the church leaders. The Kids Club runs from 6pm till 7.30pm and is for the 5 to 11 year olds. The Youth Club follows from 8pm till 10pm and is a way to encourage those aged from 11 to 16 and older to get involved in the community and city initiatives.
Games, inflatables, and action-packed activities are energising young people who come through the door. The church has been part of the community for 80 years and has innovative events for adults too.
Recently, as a Sunday service, they had Shaun Murphy the World snooker Champion of 2005, playing snooker for real in Elim and talking about his life as a sportsman and a committed Christian.
