Charter mark award
Thursday, October 4th, 2007. Filed under Govanhill.Holy Cross Primary School, Govanhill has been awarded the Charter Mark, a UK standard for good customer service.
Only the third school in the city to achieve this, it was presented to them last month by Fiona Hyslop, MSP and Minister for Education and Life Long Learning.
Baillie Jahangir Hanif, councillor for Southside Central represented Glasgow’s Lord Provost and Richard Sullivan, Charter Mark Assessor was also there.
Before the ceremony, there were somesongs, music and drama from the pupils.
Kevin Carr, Head Teacher said, ‘We are really happy with the award. It took more than 12 months to prepare for it. The morale and confidence of staff, pupils and parents has increased significantly.’
