From Tuesday September 4, Strathclyde Police will alter internal boundaries to align the force’s structure to the Community Planning Partnership areas in Glasgow.
This is to comply with the Local Government Scotland Act 2003 which places a statutory duty on local authorities, police and others to participate in the community planning process. 

The changes affect only Glasgow South and East Renfrewshire Division’s internal sub-divisional boundaries within the City of Glasgow. There will be no reduction in the number of police officers in the division.
