Southsider Fariha Naeem is headed for the University of Cambridge after being awarded straight ‘A’s in her exams at Craigholme School.

Fariha (17), from Thornliebank, got top marks in Advanced Higher Biology, Chemistry and Maths this year after she got five ‘A’s in her higher exams last year.

She will start studying Medicine at Cambridge in the autumn.

Said Fariha, ‘I was up at 7am to check my grades online and I couldn’t believe it when I read them! I am delighted that my hard work has paid off. I am looking forward to going to university. After studying at Craigholme for 7 years I now feel I have the confidence and ability to face any challenges I may encounter in the future.’
