A Southsider has scooped a prestigious National House Building Council (NHBC) award for his work with builders Miller Homes in Glasgow’s Merchant City.

Ken McGillivray is a Project Manager on the company’s Headline Building, situated off Albion Street. Ken (56), who has more than 30 years of building experience under his belt, started working with Miller two years ago to oversee the construction of the nine-floor block of flats.

He said, ‘I am extremely proud to accept this award, which not only acknowledges the expert craftsmanship and superior skills that have gone into creating this striking development, but also the hard work and dedication of the entire team.’

Miller’s Sales Director, Joanne Casey, said, ‘Ken’s impeccable high standard in site management mixed with his team’s great efforts has certainly proved to be a winning formula at The Headline Building. This innovative apartment development truly sets itself apart in terms of style, interior specification and quality of build, creating one of the most striking and desirable addresses in the city centre.’

Miller have built 98 homes at the Headline building, including one and two bedroom apartments, two-bedroom duplexes and three-bedroom penthouses. Prices start at £135,000.
