Women in Gorbals aged between 50 and 70 will be receiving appointments for breast screening from now till mid-October.

Those who are registered with local GPs will be invited, automatically, to the mobile breast screening unit which will be located in the car park of Gorbals Leisure Centre.

The screening is by appointment only and goes direct to the individual from the West of Scotland Breast Screening Service.

Anyone over the age of 70 and registered with one of the Gorbals GPs will not get an automatic appointment. But if they wish to be screened they can get an appointment by phoning the Service HQ on 0141 572 5800.
