This month the GYCT/Theatre Ecole will run their ‘taste of acting’ youth school at Queen’s Park Parish Church.

The week long event challenges participants to create a play using masks and perform it within the week.

Now settled into their new home at the Church, where they’ve been made very, very welcome, the company is maturing beautifully.

Their most recent production – The Wizard of Oz (see picture left) – surpassed the excellent presentations that have preceded it.

The confidence the new setting gives the entire company showed through. Some sparkling performances from Amy Dingwall, Garry Hogg, Michelle Gallagher, Emma Porter, Brandon Campbell and Kirsty Bagan among others illustrated clearly why some of these seasoned young theatricals are looking for a career in theatre.
