Tree Scouts

The 3rd Glasgow Scout Troop (Waverley) planted a tree in Pollok park on Saturday June 16 to celebrate 100 years of Scouting.

Based on Titwood Road and open to young people from the G41 and G42 area, the Troop provides them with life skills and an active social life.

It was one of the first Troops to be registered and has been active as long as the Scouting movement has.

‘Pollok Park itself is over 800 years old and so having a tree planted there to commemorate our Troop is a real honour,’ said Scott Lyon, Cub Scout Leader.
