Harmony Row goalkeeper Chris Howson, pictured left, is a top Shot Stopper and that’s official.

The Crookston-based No 1 was voted best group winner by coaches in the yearly awards nominated at the Shot Stoppers Goalkeeping Academy. Established in 1994, the Southside set-up has sent almost 50 goalkeepers on the road to junior and senior football – including Celtic star David Marshall, Morton’s Andy Carlin and ex-Ayr United custodian Brian Hamilton.

Shot Stoppers Head Coach, Tom Scott, who has worked with professional, junior and amateur goalkeepers, currently produces a programme for Scottish Youth Football Association Development Goalkeepers, aged under 14, 15 and 16. He can be contacted on specialist coaching at 07814269198.
