The Grand Ole Opry in Govan Road held a fundraising night in February to celebrate the life of the late Florence Gibbs a founder and secretary of the Opry.

 The resulting £2000 was to be presented to Janet Grove, Secretary of the Beatson Oncology Unit by the Club President Robert Hamilton on Friday March 2.
