Not too afraid to sleep

Thursday, February 8th, 2007. Filed under Pollokshields.

A group of pupils from Craigholme School in Pollokshields, went to a sleepover with a difference in London at the end of last term.
The girls spent a fun-filled evening in the capital, travelling down by train and dining at the Planet Hollywood restaurant, before going to the London Science Museum for one of the museum’s themed, monthly, Science Nights.
The girls took part in demonstrations, interactive workshops and exhibition trails through the museum, before camping out in the premises overnight.

Popular exhibits included the inflatable planetarium recreating the night sky and the IMAX 3D cinema, which showed the film ‘Walking on the Moon 3D’.

Said S1 pupil Humera Arif (11), from Dumbreck, ‘I had a great time. So much so that it’s hard to say what my favourite thing was. We didn’t get much sleep, but it wasn’t scary sleeping in the museum at all!’
