The star o’ Rabbie Burns Day at Lambhill Court in Kinning Park, was Janie Chisholm, a regular visitor and volunteer at the care home.

She made 26 tartan sashes for the lady residents to wear to their Burns Day celebrations and 14 tartan bow ties for the gentlemen. ‘I enjoy coming here,’ said the Janie who lives in Pollok. ‘I sometimes play my accordion and we sing and have a dance and a wee blether. I enjoy listening to what these older people have to say. I think we can all learn from them. And it’s so nice when you can make them smile.’
