New Gorbals Housing Association (NGHA) are expecting the last close in the development in the former Clyde Recycling yard on the corner of Ballater and Waddell Streets, to be handed over soon, enabling them to fill the remaining 28 homes. The complex was built by CCG, the Campbell Construction Group.

A joint venture between NGHA and builders Ogilvie Homes, representing almost £8 million of investment, will provide 34 new homes for rent. The first homes are expected to be ready in February, with construction work complete by April.Â
Simon Metcalfe of New Gorbals Housing Association, told the LOCAL NEWS, ‘We are delighted to be able to offer another 82 high-quality homes for rent and we are excited to be nearing the completion of the regeneration of Hutchesontown. The Crown Street Regeneration Programme recently won a Royal Institute of Town Planners award for best new neighbourhood, and I think that best reflects how we feel about how the regeneration has gone.’
