These Mount Florida Primary 10-year-olds – Liam Sheridan, Alan Docherty, Aaliah Shafique and Kiran Mann, are the next generation of Burnsians.

Along with their classmates, they put on some powerful and moving interpretations of Robert Burns’ works.

The Primary 6 Enterprise project attracted more than 50 family and friends to an actual Burns Supper. Alan Docherty piped in the haggis which was addressed by Alliah Shafique. Said Alan, ‘We have learned a lot more about Robert Burns which has been great fun.’ Alliah commented, ‘It took us two weeks to prepare for the event but it was worth it.’

Saif Aslam toasted (or roasted!) the Lassies and the lively ripost was delivered by Anisah Mahmood. Class teacher Anne Thompson was proud of her pupils’ work. ‘They chose to do a Burns Supper and organised the whole event themselves.’
