The company GOALS, which started in Glasgow’s Southside more than 12 years ago, was valued at more than £3 a share for the first time on the stock market last Christmas.

The five-a-side leisure sports phenomenon was taken over by Southside entrepreneurs around 2000 and floated on the Stock market only a couple of years ago. Now on the pitches near Queen’s Park at the Langside Halls corner, there are more than 3500 people playing each week. And the inside function suite also does a lot of business with birthday parties and celebrations of all kinds.

‘Goals has revolutionised how people play,’ said Scott Kerr, Goals’ Regional Manager for the North of the UK and former manager of the Southside facility.

Goals is opening new five-a-side pitches and function suites at the rate of five or six each year. There is a wide variety of leagues now netting results through Goals.
