A gift of a mirror made by a top artist from Pakistan in a style particular to his region, now features on the wall of Mr T’s fast food shop in Eglinton Street, Gorbals.

‘I’m a member of a Friday Club which raises money for good causes,’ said Mr T’s delighted co-owner Mr Tahseen Saleem. ‘These friends presented me with the mirror when we opened.’

The exclusive Friday Club imposes a fine of £25 to any member who is a minute late for their meetings. Their fund raising is done among themselves and they have helped many charities in the eight years they’ve been together.
