    Great anniversary dinner

Thursday, November 30th, 2006. Filed under - South Side.

Glasgow South Business Club celebrated its 20th anniversary with a dinner at the Swallow Hotel in November.

More than 100 members and guests enjoyed speakers who included retired anaesthetist Dick Woolfson who keep folk well awake with his humour, journalist and former MSP Dorothy-Grace Elder, Chief Executive of Strathclyde Passenger Transport, Ron Culley and former Head Teacher of Govan High School, Iain White.

‘It was a brilliant evening,’ said Club Secretary Frank Bendoris who is taking bookings for the Burns Lunch in January. See www.glasgowsouthbusinessclub.co.uk

Around the same time, the quarterly Business Forum run by Equip in the Ashoka at the Mill in Darnley, set out to raise £1000 for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice at their festive lunch.
