Evelyn MacLeod was particularly pleased to take the tour because she met up with old school mate John MacKay who is the station’s news anchorman. ‘We were both at school in Penilee,’ said carer Evelyn.

This was confirmed by John when he met up with them after his Scotland Today stint. ‘Yes, I remember you!’ said John. Both agreed the other hadn’t changed much.

After seeing all the departments in the advanced digital office and sitting in on that evening’s news broadcast process, Louise Hannah commented, ‘It is really interesting to see how it is all put together.’ Cathy Vine added, ‘I never realised there was so much involved.’
