The Govan Fair Association (GFA) visited the Southern General Hospital’s maternity unit to see how the £700 they donated had been spent.

GFA Chairperson Dorothy Courtney, along with GFA committee members, Govan Fair Queen Lisa Carrigan and Drumoyne Councillor Stephen Dornan, went to see how their donation, raised at this year’s Govan Fair, had been used to help buy new television sets and radios for the maternity unit.

Dorothy said, ‘It was nice, as we don’t always get to see what’s been bought. It was for a good cause, as most people in Govan at some point will be in, or will know someone in, the maternity unit.’
