Club’s liquid assets
Monday, October 23rd, 2006. Filed under Pollok.Cowglen Golf Club Secretary Ronald Jamieson (pictured right) is delighted to receive a cheque for £11,772 from Greg Shelton and Neil Holmes of the consultancy Water Audit Services.
The specialists found ways to cut the Club’s water bills and the cheque represents some of the savings they found. ‘This could pay for the new electronic club entry system we’d like to instal,’ said Mr Jamieson.
After scrutinising water bills for the past four years the experts surveyed the Club’s grounds and water usage. Said Greg, ‘Because of other similar clubs we’ve surveyed, we have an idea of what they should have been paying.’ The cheque represents some of the money the Club overpaid to Scottish Water.
