Take a healthy interest
Thursday, September 7th, 2006. Filed under - South Side.Community Health and Care Partnerships (CHCPs) across the Southside are appealing for members of the public to have their say on service delivery.
New leaflets and a radio advert have been produced to attract members of the public to the Public Partnership Forums (PPFs), where they can have their say on how ‘their local services are developed and delivered’.
David Comley, Head of Glasgow City Council’s Social Work Services, said, ‘These new Forums will give everyone – service users, carers, the general public, local community groups and voluntary organisations – the chance to have their say about the development of local services and provide feedback on a wide range of local issues.’
There are two CHCPs in the Southside – South East and South West – and they are a joint venture between Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
The CHCPs are responsible for local health and social care services, including those involving children and elderly people.
Sir John Arbuthnott, Chair of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, said, ‘Over the next few weeks new information leaflets will be distributed to homes across the city to give people details of their local Community Health and Care Partnership and how they can find out more about the Public Partnership Forum for their area.’
