Southsider Paolo Debernardi is holding a Christmas Party on Saturday September 30 in the 198 Scout Group’s Hall at 232 Ashcroft Drive in Croftfoot.

It will be fun as well as a chance to buy Christmas presents at special ‘early bird’ discount prices. ‘We’ll be raising funds for Children in Need and there are some fabulous prizes,’ said Paulo, who will party from noon till 9pm.

Italian born, he has boldly gone where few men have ventured – and become an agent for Avon the cosmetic and beauty products company. He joined them to earn some extra income about three years ago. He is now a full-time Sales Leader with his own team of agents. ‘I’ve made friends, have fun and it gives me an income to keep my wife and children,’ said the published poet.

The party is open to anyone and will have fine Italian biscuits to buy and to eat. Leather bags and purses and Christmas family hampers will all be for sale.
