    Community Forum coffee morning

Thursday, September 7th, 2006. Filed under Govan.

Greater Govan Community Forum is holding the ‘World’s biggest coffee morning’ on Friday September 29 to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Research.

The group will hold the event for the second year running in their Burleigh Street headquarters, with coffee, cakes and raffles.

Jennifer Swandells, Greater Govan Community Forum Manager, said, ‘The staff of the Forum feel very proud in taking part in this charitable event which contributes towards improving the lives of people affected by cancer. Members of the community have also contributed in the past by donating items such as raffle prizes and home baking, making it a very successful day.  I would like to ask that as many people as possible come along to the Forum offices and donate as little or as much as they like. Have a coffee, scone or biscuit and make some new friends.’

The coffee morning will take place between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
