Clarkston  and Giffnock Train stations are getting new Customer Information Systems (CIS) as part of a £1.4million First ScotRail project across Scotland.

The Customer Information Systems are state-of-the-art screens that will provide passengers with up-to-the-minute travel information, ‘making for a more seamless and informative journey’.

Peter Williams, commercial director at First ScotRail said, ‘Our on-going investment at stations is aimed at improving the facilities on offer for our customers and further enhancing their overall journey experience. I am confident that the introduction of CIS at Clarkston and Giffnock will be a welcome addition.’

Heather Battson, Transport Scotland’s rail quality improvement manager, said, ‘The installation of CIS at a number of stations is the latest set of enhancements which demonstrates our joint commitment to driving up the quality of rail services.’
